You don't have to worry about the extra pieces getting lost. Each stamp has its own place on the sides of the toy and the stylus in the horse's mouth. When inserting the carrot, the horse makes a crunching sound, which makes your child all the more eager to plonk the stylus into place. There is also a small hole in the stylus, in the 'carrot head', through which a string can be threaded and the stylus can be attached to e.g. a handle (no string included).
