Dining utensils made from environmentally friendly material
PLA is a plant-based and biodegradable material made from starch derived from renewable plant resources such as maize and cassava, rather than from non-renewable petrochemical oil or gas used in the production of conventional plastics. It has good biodegradability, so that if it is thrown in the garbage it can be completely degraded by micro-organisms under certain conditions. PLA is therefore widely recognised as an environmentally friendly material.
